What he said, I bent the **** out of the upper firewall and broke the damn map ears off the intake. if I only would have removed the fukin balancer it would have been easier. It's out though and the longblock is in, long **** day coming tomorrow.

i remove the upper core, rad and condensor and thats it...with the car intakes its easier

Yeah I should have done that, and I'm going back with a ls6 intake. Maybe it will be easier when I blow the lq9

tomorrow if i get teh chance im gong to use a mock up block and t56 to cut my hole...hopefully this week my 408/proshifted 6speed will be in...woo hoo

Default 6 speed swap

My 6 speed lq9 is in but it runs like ****, I t took me about 3 days to complete, maybe when I get the motor to runnin right it will be worth it Chalk me up as another who has did the swap.

I am loving life with the t56 in big red now. Just need to get the speedo calibrated and all is good.

Did any of you guys have to pull the controls off the side of your a4 and leave them plugged in to get the truck to crank?

**** I forgot the name of that black box that controls and or tells the computer what gear you are in?? But yes that module has to stay connected once the auto trans is uninstalled. I just had my 06 finished yesterday and the only thing plugged into the T56 is the speedo, gear module.
