I went back and read the whole thread - I apologize since it was mentioned earlier on.

I need to find some solid info on swapping the NV4500 into a Hummer; I am going to call some of the transmission sh ops and see what I can find out.

Thanks for the info.

what i meant by that was that it will require a custom transfer case and have a output shaft put on the t56 for it.

and that just a 2wd t56 requires some customization to fit and a 4x4 application would take even more to work, IF it would

I understand - the T56 is out of the picture. The Hummer has a 408 with the Magnuson supercharger; at that weight and with that power I don't think the T-56 is a good idea, even if it could be made to physically fit.

The 4l65-E keeps dropping output shafts and other miscellaneous parts - 3 transmissions and counting. A swap to a 4L80-E would make more sense but the guy wants to do a manual if possible.

you'd need one hell of a clutch for a h2 with a blown 408

an 80e would be best, you might look at the ZF 6speed manual in the HD gm trucks like with the dmax and 8.1L or the NV4500 like you mentioned

I don't think a M112 could feed a 408?
