did some research,.......

Apparently, Chevrolet does offer the 5speed in the NNBS in Mexico. it is a 4.3L option
http://www.chevrolet.com.mx/content_...500/motor.html

They also call the base model work truck the "Silverado" and the upper model is the "Chyenne".... which is 180 degrees from how it used to be here in the US in the early 90's. So there is a NNBS clutch pedal part number out there. Just gotta find it.

Mexico also offers a truck/ute called the "Tornado" looks like an el-camino or something.

I used google translator and emailed a dealership in Mexico, maybe it is the same part number but for other guys out there that HAVE to have body style matching parts, this could be an option.

Ill post up if they get back to me with a part number.

Im also curious about your shifter idea, it seems reasonable as it is mainly a 4-bar linkage system with limited mobility. If you get that shifter, I can probably come up with something for you that would minimize throw length while putting the shifter in a place that looks good and is comfortable to operate. I actually have 4-bar linkage programs on my calculator that would check the design and relate angular velocities of the driven bar/link in relation to the input or driver link.....a little tweeking and we should come up with something that will work.

No charge for my Engineering services, lol......I just wanna see this thing in action!

anybody have the part number for this rubber boot or where to get it? It's the f-body rubber boot that goes around the shifter.

OK, so i have read this thread, i am working on a thanksgiving day and reading online forums i know. Lightning will strike me.. .. anyways i want to know if anyone does any kind of towing with their M6 swapped trucks?? I have a newbody GMT900 and really want to do the swap, have a guy who knows a guy who claims he can get me the mexico clutch and brake pedal so that i dont have to do any fab work on that end of things.. Going to have to do this all a little at a time since i cant be without my truck for long..

So i tow a trailer every once in a while, Soon it will be more if i can get the jeep trail toy ready but will a T56 hold up to trailer towing duty.. Or would i be better off getting an NV4500 or something like that, possibly a 6 speed out of one of the 25/3500 trucks of the previous body??

Just asking..

does anyone have the part number for the steering column cover for the 03-06 trucks in manual?

also, i have a coupple of problems..

my speedo does not work at all.. i took the plug from the 4l60 and plugged it in the t-56 and it does not work.

I also have 2 pink wires on my 4l60 connector.

I cannot get my reverse lights to work, i connected the ltgreen to the switch on the trans and i connected the grew wire to power and the other wire on the connector of the trans.

Also i cannot start the truck with the yellow wire grounded.. so i have it hooked up to nothing...
