The lockout only keeps you from selecting second gear. I take it you have never been in an f-body that still had the lockout hooked up? Other than second it doesnt lock you out of anything. As for gas mileage I doubt anything will get good with 37's because in 6th your truck will be bogged down or lugging which has the same effect as revving it too high.

Daryn_C - I was hoping you would post some pics of your install I am curious to see how it looks.

Well the truck is regeared to 4.56s to compensate for the increased tire size. so i assume it still gets stock mileage now since the 3.73s or whatever were replaced. if it does bog though i know i can find a set of 4.88 or if i wanted 5.13s, either way if i did have the 5.13s i think it would still get better mileage than it would with the 4L60

alright 2 questions: first has anyone came out with an adjustable master cylinder for the swap. i remember you guys talking about this a long while back but forget what the outcome was. and secondly i was looking into lightweight flywheels and clutches. can you use a fidanza aluminum flywheel with an ls7 clutch ? or what would be an appropriate clutch / flywheel for what i am looking to do?

Last I heard some company was still developing an adjustable master to install in the trucks, but I'm not sure if it has hit the market yet.

And for a heavy (relatively speaking) truck, I'd stick with standard flywheels and not the lightweight variety.

40k miles on my LS7 clutch and still loving it. Holds great and soft peddle. Never slipped. Held good enough to snap an axle at the track.

Ive had my t-56 for the last 3 months, its been great.

the only thing thats bugging me, is that my cruise does not work.

when i first had the swap done, the cruise worked, but the speedo was waaay off.

so i got a blackbear tune and had him give me the manual tune, after that my cruise has stopped working.

im curious what wires the cruise looks for to turn on/off, because im thinking the 5-speed wiring is different than the auto. btw i only have the wires hooked up for reverse lights, speedo, and the start wire hooked up to my brake

btw, its an 03 ext cab 4.8
