well speedo is working fine. I just hooked a new plug end onto the factory wire, changed the tooth count to 17, and adjusted the pulses per mile to reflect the 17tooth count (~50000 vs 110000 per mile).
Other than that, nothing works as of yet. I put set the A4 shift box in Park so I could crank and drive home. I also cleared all A4 related codes so I would not be hit with "reduced engine power" due to massive SES issues. I have not turned on or wired anything specifically relating to the T56 (such as clutch position switch or reverse lock out). I probably won't get to this stuff till end of the week/weekend.

Well if you fixed the speedo issues then the abs issues should be fixed as well since most of the trucks use the speed sensor to act as the rear wheel speed sensor as well. Let us know about the cruise issue.

Yeah but some people have had issues. I had my trans built and had them put the correct reluctor in. So I am pretty sure i wont have any issues. I just dont want to have to buy all the cruise control parts. since mine is a motor swap and the 4.3 cable wont work with my setup. I would rather find out up front if my cruise is going to be an issue.

I have no issues with my ABS because the VSS is reading correct in mine.
ED, I would say stick with the cable setup you have. You have everything so just use the cable TB and parts on the engine swap. Much easier and cheaper than buying all new parts to get the same end results.

um the 4.3 cable setup doesnt work with an 8.1 ls1 swap. I dont use drive by wire because no reason to buy all that extra crap when 2 cables will do just fine. But i am also converting the intake to use an az speed and marine monoblade so I am sure I will have to change the module to to ls1 type
