yeah a flat piece of metal with a big enough hole in it to go over hex part, then i drilled a tiny hole for the retention bolt. I will look but i dont think i got any good pics of it. At the time everyone kept saying to tune it in the pcm and i wanted it to work correctly. Especially my cruise on long drives

Does the factory 5 speed sensor stick to far in if you dont shim it?

How thick is that piece of sheet metal?

What modifications did you do to the automatic reluctor to get it to fit?

Is that all you did?

Did you not have cruise before hand?

no shimming
no idea 1/8 inch mebbe it was a sbc engine block hook bracket
I didnt do the modifications but looks like they marked it on some of the splines and then took a punch and dimpled it to keep from spinning on the shaft.
Yes i had cruise but mine is not DBW

What is the purpose of the bracket then?

the sensor doesnt have anything to hold it in, if you dont use the bracket
the reluctor is not splined so thats how they did it and it works

Ok, that plate actually serves to hold the sensor in....I got that now.

Is it the standard automatic reluctor?

The automatic has no splines and your saying they simple dimpled the inside of the reluctor to make it say put?

I would love to see some pics of that....

Ok...so those marks mean there is a mark on inside of that reluctor and those line up with some splines....makes sense.

If this is not go...maybe as been stated....take both the automatic and t56 reluctor and make one...

You would think a gear company would make something like this.
