Default older 4L80E to 6.0 - what is needed

I'm looking at purchasing a 4L80E that was behind a 1st gen sbc, and using it with a 6.0. What do I need to do to make this work?

ttt, I believe that I need the torque converter from a 6.0/4l80e. Otherwise it should bolt up with no modifications....is this correct?

You will need to cut the "ear" off the right side of the bell housing. If it is going in a 99-07 pick-up you will need driveshaft, trans cross member, dip stick tube, flex plate with spacer, wiring harness for speed sensor, wiring harness to convert old 60e harness to 80e.

Special note on the old 80e 91-96.
MAKE SURE the trans has the provisions to mount the neutral safety switch.
You will have no top bolt hole in the trans bell housing flange
The trans oil lines will work WITHOUT modification

I should have mentioned in the original post.....I will be using a 2002 6.0 with a 4l80E that had a 1st gen sbc in front of it (out of a 99 2WD Chevy, older body style). This combo will be going in an 86 monte (I posted over here because it is sort of a truck question).

I would assume that I will need the torque converter out of a 6.0 truck. But what other modifications would be necessary?, will the wiring harness connection plug into the older 4l80e transmission? Anything else I'm forgetting?
