14-bolt modification
Located a 5k mile tbss takeout for a good price. Now just need to finish the axle housing modifications and decide on gear ratio. I have both 3.73 and 4.10 at my dispoal. And I need to order the TA cover. I am leaning towards 3.73 again since 4.10 was a handful on the street at 8psi...15 be downright silly. Not to mention zero traction in 1st. Input welcome.

So...I think you got real lucky...I'm on 10 bolt #4! Here's some pix of my G80 and the yoke it broke when it grenaded - took the tranny with it!!! Next few were bad installs but I had a whine that gave me warning at least...one had a cracked pinion the whole length, the other wasnt broke in prop - looks like that might be what happened to you frankly. The current was set up nice - its an ART, but I'll be going to the 14 bolt next spring (07 Avv & Hummer version). They're 3/4" wider, but who gonna notice that!

His gears sheared because of all the Power from the TVS2300 and he finally put slicks on it. There is a reason why GM upgraded to the 14 bolt when they finally built the performance 2WD plate forum in 05.
