opinions on gears needed
What I got:
2001 ECSB 4x4
4" Lift 325-60-18 tires
Stock 3.73 gears
6.0L swap
What would be the best gears to go with on my truck? Would 4.10 be adaquate or should I step up to 4.56? I live in the mountains and would just like to regain a little torque. I am also going to add an E-locker with that. Any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks
Nick

FYI - did a calc on your tire size and it comes up to 33.4" in diameter.
Going from 3.73's to 4.10's did make a difference on my truck, in off the line torque (increase) and mileage (decrease). However, I don't know if they would be adequate to overcome your tire size and mountains. I'm sure someone better experienced will chime in.

I was thinking 4:10 also but I have been talking to slow *** jeep heads who like to go 1 mph over rocks. When I am down in denver I don't really feel any need to re-gear but as soon as I get back in the mountains, its a dog.
