people have confused cutting a stock spring with heating them. When I was searching to do mine I think people just automatically said don't do it, from mixing them up. I'm glad I did, cuz it rode great, and was free... your not changing the spring rate or anything, just making it shorter.

yea cut the stock springs aftermarket springs ride like doo doo...
Heating springs changes the spring rate and will make them bouncy.. Don't do it. But cutting them as long as your not goin lower than 2" or so is just fine.. I've always heard rule of thumb is 1 coil=2"

I decided to lift the rear up about 1/2" with bell tech shackles. I really like the ride up front, and dont want to have to pull it apart again just to go down 1". Plus the wheels I have for my slicks stick out 2" or a little more and I will need to lift it just a hair to have room for bed drop on launches. Thanks for all yalls help.
