Opinions wanted on stall size
Hey guys. I've been stockpiling some parts for a couple of months. I have a 2001 LS1 with a new Cam Motion 222/226 cam, LS6 heads that I'm shaving .030 and having a valve job done on, a fully built 4L65E waiting to go in, and Cal-speed LT's/ORY. The only two things I need now is a good stall and a tru-cool. I'm going to spray a 125 shot on it once I get everything dialed in as well. What brand/size stall do you guys think would work best for my set-up? I want to DD it and don't want anything too radical. I'm thinking of a nice yank 3400-3500 stall, but I want some opinions. I don't know what it will run, but I think it'll do ok. I know a guy who tunes at a reputable shop in Raleigh, NC with a cam-only LS1 Silverado with a 3600 stall that runs 12.8 on motor and 11.4 @118 on a 125 shot. I'm trying to mirror his set-up with a little less stall but a little more power (which I think the LS6 heads should yield). Thanks guys.

I would do 3400-3600 from a good reliable company with your setup imo.
Circled, FTI, Yank, Edge, coan, ATI, PI, etc.. There are numerous companies that build well built converters and some cost more than others.

I need something stronger than the re-stalled TB converter. Chris told me it was only good to 500hp and I'll be beyond that with the juice. Thanks for the insight though buddy.
