A trailblazer stall is the factory stall that came behind int eh I-6 trailblazer engine. It is built for that eninge and when put behind a V8 that has more power it makes it stall higher instead of the factory 1800 it will stall to 2400ish some a little lower some a little higher. Good alternative to an aftermarket stall but doesnt have as good a str rating as an aftermarket stall I would imagine. I know the next question will be what is str. STR is the power multiplication a stall has built into it for an aftermarket stall a typical str would 2.5 it multiplies the forces exerted on it by the motor in the lower part of the rpm range to help you accelerate. Hopefully this answers your questions.

i installed one on my truck today. took about 30-40 min. you can definitely tell its there. a good trick during the install is to use a nut and bolt thru the pin hole to compress the spring cover to get the snap ring out and then in.

Yes, the Vette sized servo has a larger apply surface, which increases clamping force on the band, reducing the potential to slip, which also serves to firm up the 1-2 shift. Since the band must release for 3rd gear, they use 3rd fluid to push the servo in the opposite direction, which is how they get the accumulation for 3rd. Since the servo has a larger piston, its harder for 3rd gear to push it off, essentially stiffening the 3rd accumulator, so the Vette servo also firms up the 2-3 shift.
