Ordering a eaton posi. Need help!!

How do I determine the ring gear size (8.5 - 8.625) before ordering . I ran the vin #'s but no certain answer without pulling it apart. It's a 02 chevy single 2wd w/ 4.8l. Can anyone help!! Need to order Friday

our trucks are 8.6s if they are 10 bolts.....

Yes it is a 10 bolt but how do you know the diff between to two externally?
