From what I understand the Fuddles are pretty tight. You don't have to rev to 2800, but if you floor it it will rev to 2800, then LAUNCH. Regular driving shouldnt be much different though.

No, not at all. There are numerous ways to test converters. Some say it will Flash that high, some say it will break stall that high, and some say at WOT it will never be under a certain rpm.

I have a Fuddle 2800 stall. It's the first time I've ever driven a vehicle with a stall. Here's what I've noticed:
When I'm on level ground, at idle, it will barely move forward.
To get it up to about 10mph(parking lot driving ), I have to kick it up to about 1500 rpm.
To take of somewhat aggressively, or when making a hard turn from a stop, I have to bring it up to about 2500 rpm.

It has taken some getting used to. At first I didn't really like it but now I love it.

I would go with something lower than 3000, like a 2800 max. But thats me. I cannot imagine leaving the line at 3000 rpm! NO traction at all for me. It really depends on your current and future mods.
I don't have a higher than stock stall but from what I've heard, my wife would really not like driving in the truck then!!
She still thinks the whining sound is from the transmission!

Im tellin ya man that 6.0 is gonna swallow that tiny cam and a big 3k stall doesnt make sense unless your worried about the 1/10-2/10 th you'll gain over a 2400 stall. The bigger the stall the more sacrificed drivability, from what youve said I think a 2400 is a perfect fit.

I have a hughes 2500 with that exact cam and the hughes is extremely tight. With that cam the 2500 IMHO is too small. I mean it drives good and if you just want to drive it like an old man, it should be fine, but it won't maximize the cam what-so-ever with that converter. I am upgrading to a fuddle soon and going at least a 3000 and maybe even a 3200. Alot depends to on what gears you are running. If you have 4.10's I'd say a 3000, if you have 3.73's or lower, a 2800 should be fine.
