Ordering T56

Ordering T56
I'm in the process of ordering up a T56 (Son of Tranzilla) from Rockland Standard. Gear ratios I've decided to use are 2.97, 2.07, 1.43, 1.00, .80, & .63. The question is what shifter location?
This is going in a '02 Silverado (2WD) that has a 4L60E in it. The seats are the 40/20/40 setup. No center console.
Can anyone tell me how many inches back the shifter needs to be from the bellhousing? Or should I wait and measure once the 4L60E is out of the way? Somebody has done this swap, so I assume somebody here knows.
Thanks

Look int the T56 thread. If you dont have a console then you can do either the stock F-body shifter location or get the forward mount shifter conversion. I am personally doing the F-body location because it puts the shifter closer to the driver and I feel like I can use a shorter stick with shorter throws.
My truck is the same as yours except I'm going to try to make it work with my stock console. And mine's an extended cab. I will be starting the swap next week.

Nothing in the 101+ page A4 to T56 thread about shifter location measurements... Most of those swaps were F-body or GTO T56's.
I've got 4 choices for shifter location from Rockland Standard.

29"
Maybe somebody who's done the swap from the factory 5-speed can tell me what their old trans measures. From the pictures I've seen of the swaps on a 4.8L 5-speed RCSB I think I can figure it out.
