Over fill trans a problem?

I would pull a cooler line off, if you have a tru cool or sometihng. Ive done this with no mess. Just pop the grille out, pull a line off, and drain the cooler into a cup. It wont run out of the cooler till both lines are off. less than five minutes.... if you have a aftermarket cooler

I thought about pulling the cooler lines from the radiator, but i hate those little metal clips. I just pulled the pan plug to drain it. I unthreaded the plug but kept it in there and was able to make a rather controlable stream into my drip pan. Didn't make a mess at all.

Final note: holy crap did I overfill it!

Because of this thread, I went and checked my trans fluid......WAY above the "hot" hashes. lol. I recall we filled the trans with it in drive, dolt. It even says on the stick measure in park lol. Haven't had any problems and the bone stock 150k 4l60e has held the 6.0 well over a year no problems
