Default Pads for 05+ brakes that don't cook?

Without upgrading calipers or rotors, what kinda pad can I put on this thing that won't cook when you stand on them? I just turned my rotors and threw on some Centric parts store specials and they stop fine but they're not gonna cut it after a 1/4 mile pass at 110 or above...Hawk or someone else have something decent that won't ruin the wheel with brake dust?

I've never had a problem with whatever pads and hydroboost. Just about all the aftermarket high performance pads will dust a ton.

If you dont want dust, youll have to go to a ceramic pad. Semi metallic will dust bad!!!

I don't know about their dust output, but the Police Package pads from Raybestos work pretty good. They're designed to take a beating.

I have the police brakes, semi metallic. They work good once they get hot. Coming down from 140 at the track is still interesting though...

Thanks guys appreciate the feedback. I'm tempted to try Hawk HPS. Braided lines and good fluid will burn another $200 into thin air, are the braided hoses even necessary if the originals are in good shape? I mean we're not road racing these trucks...the brakes get stood on after 1/4 mile blasts and then they get to rest.

Have the Hawk HPS on another car and they bite really well. Dust is only minimal.

Braided lines do help. Enough to make them worth it. And you'll never replace them

You don't think the rubber inside them won't degrade over time like the stockers?

Ive heard of braided lines breaking down faster than standard replacements.... And i have seen a few broken at the end where the rubber is joined to the metal end
