I would consider contacting Chris over at Circle D to see if he can help you out on a remand unit. Not sure on what the price is from Gm Vs. CD but I think it would be a good idea to at least call him. HTH Vince

Just figured I would be able to go pick up the convertor from the trans parts warehouse since they have pretty much all factory convertors in stock. I broke mine pulling out the engine and was needing one soon. idk how soon chris would send it over compared to going over to the warehouse in 1 day. plus i only wanted it temporarily since i'm actually wanting the 3600 later on down the line. but thanks. i will give him a call tomorrow.

well when removing the engine i pulled it out with the flywheel and stall convertor because i had seen that all the bolts that held the convertor to flywheel were stripped bad. must have been the previous owner or someone that worked on truck. anyways, while removing the engine little ***** fell out like bearings and then a lot of shavings were dripping with the trans fluid that it had. now i dont know where the bb's came from or anything but they were indeed falling out of the convertor. i know my truck was having trouble with the lock up for overdrive but maybe it was slowly wearing out? any idea where the bb's could have came from. I intend on using a 3600 stall but thats not until a little bit later down the line. I just want to try out the trailblazer stall. the one everyone says stalls to 2600-2800. I should be going for the stall tomorrow so hopefully i can get a part number or at least the year it came out in.

The BBs came out of.......

You are looking for a 4.2 TB. Not sure what year is the latest, but the sticker on the converter should read VJCX. That is the 278mm style. We do have a modified version that flashes to about 3200. We also do quite a few upgrades for durability. But I understand the time frame and budget. Good luck!
