Past Vette Servo Install step by step post?
I read in past post several months ago about a member posting a step by step vette servo install. It had mainly step by step photos of the vette servo install on a particular members truck.
Anyone have the link or exact post of that???

Try that for starters. I used a long crow-bar as a "tool" and used a rubber bungee cord to tie it to the driver side torsion bar to keep the cover compressed while I removed/installed the large snap ring. If this doesnt work a friend holding compression on the cover will make the snap ring install much easier. You are going to have to cut the o-rings to remove the cover but once that is done its fairly straight forward. Just take a look at the above link and I think with any mechanical knowledge you can do it in an hour. Just make sure the exhaust/tranny are cool. I have the scars as to my reasoning....

What is the difference in the normal vette servo and the one from Transgo?
I see that Transgo uses shims and others are just installing a vette servo.
What is the difference? Does Transgo use different servo housings or just different springs and shims?
What is the best application to perform, OCBC's or CAKES?

TransGo does not make their own servo. I think what you are seeing is an installation of a Corvette Servo with the installation of a TransGo Shift Kit. The shims are used to ensure proper band clearance on the forward drum. You need to install the 'Vette Servo and then the O/D Servo and cover without o-rings to check clearance. If the clearance is too large the spacers are installed to "snug" it up. Once the clearance is to your liking, install the cover with o-rings and install the snap ring and enjoy much nicer, more positive shifts. Hope that helps.
