I would go LVL2. There are people that run 10's on that trans and use it for a DD. I remember from researching mine that the LVL 3 will allow the trans to shift into ANY gear at ANY speed. (ie 1st gear at 100mph) http://performabuilt.com/Testimonials2008.html Check out slowgoat's review of his LVL 2. They also have some videos of some drag racing.

when buying my transmission i told frank my goal was 10's in the extended cab. he recomended the LVL 2. i asked frank about adding a transbrake to my extended cab LVL2 thinking he would laugh at me and say go to hell. he came back with a recomended trans brake and said go for it. i just cant grow a pair and do a trans-brake on a 60e. it goes against everything ive seen on the interweb.

I think you will be more than ok with the lvl 2. I see GTO's in the 9's with a lvl 2. one has a 427 with a 100 shot, the other has a h/c/i ls1 with a 200 shot. They run the dog **** out of them! I would get a lvl2 if I were going that way, but I want to do turbo later, so I want a 80e.
