Default Pi converter Lockup delay

I have a 3400 pi triple disc and since day one have had problems with locking in regular driving. It locks fine in wot and when it locks in regular driving it feels strong. The problem is the throttle should be at 12% or less for 5 seconds.... over 40 mph, which is where it's set to lock, or it wont lock. Not even if manually commanded, if throttle is at 13% it wont lock. The previous converter was a Tci and never had this problem. Does anyone know if warranty will cover this and what could it be? I know it's the converter, just want you all's opinion or if someone has dealt with this problem before.

If it is under warranty I would call PI. I can also take a look at it for you. I am in Houston, a bit of a drive but if you wanted to ship it or bring it in I would be glad to take care of it. Very odd problem though. Typically it is the opposite, lock fine under cruising and slips at WOT. You said you manually commanded it, how?

Probably commanded it using tuning software while driving. Shifts, Tc lockup Etc can be commanded.

goodluck. i had bad luck with my old 3400PI...it seemed to want to delay the lockup but would eventually lock, not to mention the input hub broke twice. is the truck retuned for the higher stall? if not, your truck can be sensing random misfires and it will keep the converter from locking.

Yes it is retuned for the Pi

The delay is exactly 5 seconds steady at 12% Throttle or it wont lock
Manual locking it with hp tuner....I'll give Pi a call.
