What kind of strength differance is there from the one piece to the two piece?
I have the two piece in mine and would like to know if i should ever be worried about it.

I had it all checked out and alinged up to the proper specs just last week when i got the truck back from the tranny shop.
I also tend to reach 130 plus pretty fast.....it's Derek's fault....

I've 4 deg shims but still would like to know more about where I stand. I would hate to be in Daniels shoes. Going to 4.10's has not been cheap for him at all. The good thing is that his truck didn't loose control. He was doing about 120mph.
Hey Dan, maybe you need to put a limiter on my truck to like 115-120mph. I keep telling myself I ain't taking it too high but once there I always end up saying "F@*K it and wind up risking it.
true that on the limiter, i'm gonna go with a aftermarket d/s for now, i hope its better.
i have 4 inch hotchks springs in back, so i would think the pinion angle is right, but i just never checked it.
still gonna try the dyno this week?
expensive, yea, but i'll be back faster.. i hope

Yeah, I want to dyno it this week and see where my shifts are at. Maybe we can get more out of her.

So you guys had a shorter <72" driveshaft go out on you? Only ones I had heard of till now were the avy and RCLB trucks.

EDIF: I had mine go our at 124 with 3.42 gears.

There's been several drive shafts go out around here. All have been with 4.10's and at high speeds, lucky no one's ever gotten hurt. Theres a truck that has had 3 go out on him and Another truck that burned to the ground due to the drive shaft going out and cutting the gas tank and cought on fire cause of all the sparks. I guess 4.10's and high speeds (over 120mph) don't match with stock drive shafts.
