Ok, i should have thought of this sooner.. The bearing that came off the old pinion is sitting on my desk at work, and apparently doesnt exist.. Nobody seems to be able to cross it to another brand.. the bearings that came with the kit had races with them, but i didnt replace them, ***umed that they were the same bearing... Is this the answer to my issues? Do i have to use the race that came with the bearings? Is there more than one option on these trucks or this family of axle?
HELP!!! Have to have this truck going today!!!

YES! I had the same problem on my 03 i used to have. Nobody could get me the stock bearing! I bought me a new one but it looked different. I tried to use the stock race with the new bearing but it didn't work. Found out they didn't even fit together. The two races had different angles to them. Anyway, i pulled the stock race out and put both the new bearing and new race together and the old race and the old bearing together and they measured the same height. So i put BOTH the new race and new bearing in and it worked like a charm. Hope this helps.
