Hah, my set only goes up to 10mm lol...

Well I ordered the factory kit from the dealer, it comes with the line that I cut so I'll be good to go once I combine it with the brackets and compression fitting that I ordered from Time2Kill...now I just have to order the TruCool 4739, 40K with internal thermal bypass

Well, I'm definitely committed to going the factory hard line route now...picked up the trans cooler kit today, it was $79 my cost from the dealer...the factory cooler will be going up for sale once I figure out if I need the fittings off of it or not...

*EDIT* I'm thinking of nixing the cold weather bypass since I won't really be driving the truck in winter now that I have the 96 Blazer...

Well, I need to see pictures of the cold weather bypass, and if it will fit with my planned setup...I'm assuming that it's some sort of pipe or hose with a thermostat that screws into the bottom of the cooler...might not fit with the hard lines I just bought. Could you take pics of yours when you get it?

For you, I can take pics.
I'm hoping the 4739 includes an internal bypass, not an external bypass manifold stacked into the system somewhere. For what I mean, see pic 2.

This is stock 4739 pic I found w/. bypass.

And this: Bypass 708-4739

Thanks Tom, but from everything I see, the 4739 does not have an internal bypass, but an add on external bypass is available...unless it goes directly in to the ports on the cooler and can be plumbed into my system, I'm not going to use it. If it's like that one that you posted in the second link, I'll pass for now.

I wonder what your guy would sell the TruCool for without the bypass? Should be fairly cheap considering the great price that you got for it with the bypass...he may even have the coolers in stock, almost sounds like he's waiting for the bypasses to come in.

Thanks SnakeOiler, but I'm going to be using factory fittings that screw directly into the cooler, then the factory hard lines just snap right in, just like the lines that go into the radiator

*EDIT* Upon inspection of the description of that thermal bypass, it is fully opened by 180*...that thing may never open in the winter around here. I'd kinda like my trans to run around 160ish anyway...
