Default posi (carrier) identification

hey all I have a new carrier that has the date code for 1998 (also when I got it) it was for a 98 Silverado. This is a stock limited slip. is this internal piece the same for 1998 to the present? I know there used to be different "series" depending on what gearing it had are all these the same or how can I identify it? Is this considered the "G80"?
I will be wanting to sell this and wanted to know what I had and what it will fit before proceeding.
This has never been installed.
Thanks
Dave

That locking rear dif should fit in any 1990-1999 OBS truck with the 8.5" rear and with differnt size carrier bearings a 1999 and up with teyh 8.6" rear. The 8.6 and 8.5" stuff is interchangeable, just like the S10-Camaro 7.5/7.625 stuff.

peace
