It could be an Auburn LSD.

How about a picture? I could identify it much easier with a picture.

Used Auburns make great paper weights. They are a poorly designed LSD imo, much like the Gov Lock being a terrible locker. Except when an Auburn works it actually works just fine honestly. But as well all know if you drive hard any LSD with a consumable part wears out fairly fast. So what wears out on an Auburn????? The entire carrier, so once the cone gears bottom out it's scrap metal. If you get 100000 miles from an Auburn it means you never beat on it, lol.

I personally wouldn't even think twice about tossing it in the trash. New carriers are not expensive honestly. Just buy something new and not worry about it.
