My cousin put one in his Dodge Dakota. He was very happy with it....other than that I don't know anyone else running them. I think they are about the same price as an Eaton?

Cheap, but not good for anything that will see any abuse. It would be weaker than stock because you are taking a stock open case and adding the stress of a posi to it.

For off road use, I'd recommend the power trax over an eaton or auburn. I beat my power trax on and off-road for about 30K miles and it showed no signs of wear. In off road use, posi unit's with clutches will wear faster due to the constant grabbing and releasing. The power trax is locked about 95% of the time. It's a very harsh locker and not very smooth at all. When it locks up, you definitely feel and hear it.

I love my Powertraxx but it's on a lowered 2wd ECSB GMC so I don't know about the off road deal. Very easy to install, About an hour.

The real advantage of the powertrax is they are a piece of cake to install.

I can say I love my powertrax no slip locker, It was fairly easy to install and seems to work smooth to me unless I gun it for a stand still then Im all over the road.
