Default Practical to convert 4L60 (not E) to 4L65E?

I have a chance to buy a clean 1994 standard cab shortbed, 350 ci, Z71 4x4 with 150k miles. It is in need of a transmission, and I understand it has the 4L60. I have a fully rebuilt 4L65E sitting in my garage, and I have not been able to sell it for what the rebuild cost ($1,800, inc converter).

Is it possible AND practical to try to use my 4L65E in this truck. If so, what has to be done to get the electronics to function.

Thanks all.
