Is this to imply that Justin doesn't do a good 6l80 tune? Have there been others that have had problems with his transmission tunes that you know of? He tuned mine and it's great.

Someone please chime in here, maybe the tuners themselves if someone directs them to this thread.

sounds to me like the problems were pre tune. Checked exhaust heat shields? Do you have a catch can? There hasn't been a confirmed transmission problem other than a rumble through the floor board/ gas pedal. Does it happen at a certain speed or any/ all speeds? I had a similar rumble in my brake pedal at idle and it turned out to be the catch can check valve ball rattling the brake booster that the can was mounted to.

Taking the dealership a diagnosis from another repair facility is likely to look suspicious especially if its still under factory warranty. Save the tune and reflash with the factory tune. Have the vehicle repaired. There are GM bulletins stating the aftermarket tunes void factory warranties. install factory air cleaner setup also. Just my recommendation.

Reflashing a factory tune will do you no good if the dealer wants to be a dick. GM keeps track of what's called a "checksum" code. Each time the ECM/TCM is flashed, regardless of the tune, a new checksum is generated. The factory checksum is recorded and that is one of, if not THE, first thing tech support will request in deciding to honor or void a warranty. By virtue of the fact that a different checksum is there, GM can wash their hands of the transmission bc there is obvious evidence that SOMETHING was done to the transmission electronics. Find a cool dealer, slip the service manager a little green and beg!

Well I revisited this problem and this is the best answer, pretty much what I was looking for all along...

http://www.silveradosierra.com/trans...-t4476-10.html

to reiterate:
When going down the road any speed my truck will seldom stutter. Sometimes it's a slight stutter and sometimes it's enough to make the passenger ask what's wrong with my truck. It feels like a transmission, torque converter or rear end stutter. Hard to guess. When I am on the gas and accelerating it pulls and shifts just fine.

These other forums say that GM had problems with the ECM not learning driving patters or something. Can anyone confirm this? I want the problem fixed if there is a fix, but I also don't want to lose my BB tune from a computer re-flash or let the dealership know my warranty may be void. Would a dealership ECM fix wipe my tune away?
