converters can be very hard on a tranny i think. from a dig they wrap up rpms quick and slam the tranny with force. if you flash stall a lot which always works better for me, performance wise

and we all have lock up so i dont think heat be a issue unless you live in the true city stuck in traffic all the time .

 

will this converter that is mentioned to onto an older 4L60E like in an OBS truck?

 

I'm pretty sure that you have to use a s10 torque converter for the OBS. Just make sure it's from 6 cylinder engine.

Man I wish I would have seen this before I put my new tranny in...Didn't have the money for a real nice converter this would have worked out great.

How do these tb converters affect towing? Such as a trailer loaded with a couple of big 4x4 atvs or bass boats.

 

i have one but havent installed it i want to go bigger

 

More or less what is the cost to having one get installed?

 

New GM ones run $440 bucks, or somewhere around that.
