suggestion on the trans sticking to the engine. i put anti-seize on the two studs on the motor side and all around the bell housing. its what i did to my manual trans and i havent had a problem since.

Seem to remember the time white1 installed his FLT L5. I distinctly remember three of us under the truck, with two working, and one supervising. We put the trans and t-case in as one unit. Will say that is one HEAVY combo without help.

I pull the t-case first, then the trans. Then reverse for reinstall.

Last time I did it, laying on my back, it took all of about 15 seconds to get the t-case reinstalled onto the end of the tranny. No reason to pull the t-bar crossmember.

it seems like when i did the silverado trans that is what i did. trans then t-case. i took some of the fluid to work and the lok on peoples face when they smelled it was great. its very dark and the pan has lots of little pieces in it. i took pics. i'll post them up in a second.

i just pulled my trans also...the best way is to stab the trans first then bolt the t-case on after the trans is up..that t-case weighs 85lbs
