so you put the tail shaft of the t-case over the TB crossmember and then stuff it in? did you all use high temp rtv or the gasket from gm? every freaking time i've tried to get the gasket from the dealer i get the wrong one.

I used a GM gasket.
Here's what I did....
I laid down on my creeper, had Kyle set the t-case on my chest, then I rolled under the truck. Lift the t-case with the tailshaft pointed up, then once it's over the t-bar crossmember point the tailshaft towards the back of the truck. At this point you can balance the t-case on the t-bar crossmember to change your grip on it. Then just slide it towards the front of the truck and seat it on the trans output shaft until it's on enough to support the weight. Then it's real easy to rotate until all of the bolt holes line up and it slides into place.

well i got her all put back together. man what a loooong day. big things went easy little things were a pain in the ***. and while i was in there i install a ls1 head corner coolant line thingy. went in good but its hook up that goes to the rad is in a bad spot and it leaked at first but i think i fixed it. trans seems to shift good. was kinda soft at first but as i drive it, it seems to be getting better. but man the tcc lock up is WAY better. locks up when told and stays locked. it locks so fast it feels like 5th gear how many quarts does a bare trans and TC take? i put in 12 but it reads on the bottom hole on the stick. can't wait till break in is good to go. he wants me to put at least 150-200 miles on it to make sure all the assy lube is desolved and what not.
