Since I Had The Shift Kit Put In It Seems Like When I Punch It From A 20 To 30 Roll It Doesnt Down Shift Very Quick And It Feels Like It Shifts From 3rd To 2nd And Then To 1st! Whats The Problem. Before The Shift Kit I Could Punch It Anywhere Under About 40 And It Would Shift Directly To 1st With Very Little Delay. Is There Something They Left Out Or Is Something Just Not Adjusted Right. I Dont Know. But Everything Else Is Fine Even The 3-2 Down Shift At High Speeds. Any Suggestions?

 

Mine has always shifted 3-2-1 from punch. After shift kit install does it faster.

well before i put the shift kit in i could have it in third and punch it and i wouldn't ever feel second it would just go straight to first. but now its slower about going into first. but it doesnt do it all the time so im thinking its something with the computer.

 

why not just manually do it... thats why i got the shift kit... so i could drop it into any gear and manually put it into the next one. Almost like a manual.. but on the column (and w/o a clutch, lol)

 

yeah thats what ive been doing when im really racing someone. its just annoying thats its doing that and i dont know why!

I know exactly what he's experiencing. After you punch it, it seems to stall and not have any power at all right? Mine did the exact same thing. Then when it reaches a certain RPM or speed it will downshift, correct? If so, it is definitely your tune. Allen had to do mine on our street tuning session right after the shift kit install, because it would sit there for like 2 or 3 seconds after I would punch it and nothing.

Now I have my second to first downshift set at 38 mph and third to second set at like 66 mph. That first gear downshift is awesome though man.
