I get used slicks from CASACAR roundy round racers, I use qualifing slicks that only have a 3 or 4 laps on them, they are almost brand new. I pay a case of beer or $20 for 2 of them. I run 28x8" slicks on a 7" rim or 29x10" slicks on my 15x10" rims.
With my L35 V6 S-10 stall converter I can cut 2.00 60's all day long.[/QUOTE]
Does that place CASACAR place got a website? Or where are they located?

Sorry bud, CASCAR is the Canadian NASCAR. I have a few friends that race roundy round cars and I get their qualifying tires off of them.
It sure is a lot cheaper than buing new slicks.
Maybe try to find some guys who race circle tracks, they usually have lots of slicks laying around.

I'm running 4.11's in mine, Yukon makes them
As far as how hard they pull up top, I think my truck pulls very well around 100mph. It doesn't drop into 2nd gear above 63mph though....so passing somebody on a 2 lane highway can be a little frustrating sometimes. BTW, I'm running 31" tall tires.
