Default Question about decranking torsion bars

Got the stock keys back in and adjusted almost all the way down. Looks like the LCA is riding pretty firmly on the bumpstop. I like the ride height, so I don't want to trim the bumpstop if I don't have to. My question is....is this bad? Is it necessary to trim the bumpstop? Here's a pic.

As far as I know and remember from mine the LCA does ride the bump stop. To what degree I can't say.

I say drive it and if it feels okay go with it.

yes, this is what I did in this situation
First off they come out fairly easy, so cut it so it just barely touches the LCA. After you get it to perfect height double check fender measurements on both sides to make sure your still at the same ride height, incase they were preventing some drop. Then take a drill and 1/4" bit and drill six holes horizontally in the rubber around the circle evenly spaced. Say about 1/2" upwards, this will give the rubber it compression back since being shorter it will be more stiff, and this will keep the ride more factory like.

i decranked mine all the way. it rode too rough. i then cut the first nub off the bump stop and it rides great now.

EDIT: mine had more than one nub though i'm pretty sure.

please do, you WILL thank me in the end.

Kev, some of them have that bumpstop, and some have the ones like yours and I had. Not sure why.

Yeah I ended up cutting mine in half. I spyed a set of short ones but they haven't been released and I can't get my hands on them yet.

The suspension is supposed to just kiss those stops, the drll mod makes sense to me.

word, I will miss the 4wd launches, but the 15"wides out back should help.

I kind of want to keep the 4wd frame and build an awd monster out of my daily when I'm done. Maybe....
