Question about shocks?
Hello all
I own a 2002 chevy silverado 5.3L ecsb auto 3:73 posi. My intentions are to create my own SS version if you will, and i want to drop 2/4 with every suspension part to do it right the first time. I bought belltech 2 inch drop springs and belltech monotube shocks and i'm planning to get hotckis swaybar kit and the "D" arch leaf springs as well. i did have a 96 1500 rcsb and i used edelbrock IAS shocks and i really enjoyed the ride and handling and im having second thoughts about the belltech shocks! which shock would be better???? and is it true about edelbrock making the shocks for belltech??
mods: Corsa exh, pulleys, GMS MAF, MSD wires, Volant with scoop, Predator programmer.
Future mods: Cam with roller rockers, 2/4 drop with chrome SS wheels, Dynatech header systems, Nelson tune

I like the Doetsch-shocks myself. They are very dependable shocks and will allow the best ride comfort. The IAS shocks are good but I heard they are stiff as hell on the ride on the NBS.
If you already got the 2in front drop springs, just get the hangers&shackles for the rear. I belive its a better setup than "D" arching the leafs but you can go that route also. But you can also get a complete 2/4 drop kit from either DJM or Mcghauy's suspension. They come with all the parts.

check into kyb nitrogen gas shocks. They ride sweet......a little rough at first but now that mine are broke in the ride is great. I paid $50 a piece from a local shop.
