quick ? involving drop spindles

ok i have 2"drop spindles on my sierra, when i did the drop i had 20's, i remember something about having to grind of the bolt at the bottom of the spindle to fit smaller wheels, well i grinded a **** load off to put my stock 16's back on and they still dont clear, will they never fit with the drop spindle?

damn thats the same problem im having .I have 20"s but I wanted to put the 17"s back on but the dont fit I grinded the lower bolt off but still nothing. I herd something about flipping a control arm? any help guy thank you in advance
