Default Quick Question on 2/4

I searched for a while but ran out of time on my lunch so I am going to ask. I have a rcsb silverado with 2"drop shackles in the back.....i guess thats what they are called! Anyway I want to lower it two more in the back and 2 in the front for a total drop of 2/4.

Can someone tell me exactly what I need to buy to complete this. I know springs for the front but I cant find any shackels that will lower it four inches in the back. I might cut one round out of the front springs, I read that on here but i'm not sure about that either.......any advaice you gus can give me will be great. Sorry if you have answered this before but I am tired of searching with no answers.....thanks a bunch in advance!!

do a 2" hanger in the back too. Its a bit of work, but its good if you want to have it ride good.

u need 2" drop hangers (belltech, djm) in the rear, or if u still have your stock shackles u can get some 4" drop leafsprings (hotchkis, ground force). The leafs will give you a stiffer ride.

yes I would like to contain my factory ride.....so I just need 2" hangers? Leave my 2" shackles and cut my factory springs or should I just get a complete kit?

A friend of mine has a 4/6 kit, can i make this a 2/4 or is that out of the question?

wHAT ABOUT THIS KIT??

get a set of 2" drop spindled for the front and a 2" drop hanger for the rear. this will keep 100% stock springs and will maintain factory ride quality. I have the belltech drops on the front and have had zero issue with them.

if you do ANYTHING to ANY springs, you WILL change the ride quality

The closest you can get to 4" drop in the rear from a flip kit is a 5" drop (flip kit with lifting shackles or helper bags). The front will depend if its a coil/spindle drop or a control arm drop. If the front is a 4" control arm, thats all you're getting. If its a spindle/coil drop, you can use either the spindle or coil.

Ok, I dont want to go any lower than 2/4.........

In order to retain my factory ride, what do I need?

FRONT:

Spindles?
Aftermarket Springs?
My Factory springs with one coil cut?

Rear:

2" Hangers with my 2" shackles??
Something else?

Which of each of these items are the best to keep my same ride? I am dying to order them but have not seen any real solid answers to my questions yet. Thanks a bunch in advance!!

2/4 Kit 2

2/4 Kit 3

Don't know what year your's is, but I've been looking for my NNBS and these are the ones I've found on ebay. I don't really know how good of quality they are though.

Like 2001 camaro guy said, spindles hangers and your shackles will give you a 2-4, you will want shorter bumstops or a cnotch, either way your ride will reamin the same just lower
