Rack/Pinion: new or reman.?
I need a new steering rack, original is worn out. Should I go new or just buy a complete remanufactured one? I found a good deal on a Visteon reman. unit.

A reman unit should be considerably cheaper than a new one, and should hold up just as well if it was remanufactured properly. I've seen many reman units installed (all different makes), and installed many myself, that have held together for the life of the vehicle. Every once in a while you get one that has a leaky seal or a sticking valve, it happens. They usually come with some sort of warranty though, so any sudden defects should be covered. If the price difference is substantial, I'd go with the reman
