Default Really interested in 4.10 gears!

Hey guys! So I've been wondering on what I can do to get my truck some more bump and go. Such as without doing anything else with my motor (burns some oil after heavy acceleration) so I'm building my 6.0 in the garage. Anyways, I just thought about 4.10 gears.

How many of you went to 4.10s and love them? I have 3.73 right now and I like them but if 4.10s give me more going power and still give me a good daily driver feeling, then what kits do y'all recommended? Also what's the negatives such as less top end or less going power above 80 or something?

My truck came factory with 4.10s and I am running slightly larger tires 285/70/17 (32.8in tall) I can smoke the tires in first and a little in second. I like them couldnt imagine having anything taller.

What size tires do you have?

So 31ish tall tires. Going up that little bit wont be a massive differance I would personally wait until the 6.0 is done since they have alot more low end umf. If you still want more after that then do the 4.10s.

I have 4.10s too in my Yukon. She's a pig with a stock 5.3 so nothing gets smoked 😠

4.10s with my taller 80e 1st is a must.

I still hate all you truck owners that can do a burnout.

i can do a burnout in my yukon!!! Not even going to discuss my 99 on 35s with 4.10s!! I swapped the 4.10 into my truck kinda on accident(at least thats what i told my ex wife) with 4l60s steep *** first couldnt imagine anything much lower... Had 4.56 in a k5 blazer i had on 35s and felt like way too much gear!!! I have owned 3.73, 4.10 and 4.56 geared trucks, behind a big block or diesel and allison if i am towing i will take 4.56s.... If i plan on mostly highway/round town, 3.73s, but for offroad and a bit of olaying around 4.10s are beast!!! Just my .02!!!

Hes got too much tm in place still probably, that 5.3 with 4l80 should have no problem roasting tires!!!

Right now my 99 will bounce the rear tires as they spin, kinda sucks...tryin to do a burnout and sound like damn chicken coop at feeding time!!!
