I havent heard of anyone breaking the axle shafts they seem to run into other problems before the axle shafts let loose. Flyer went 11.90 with the 10 bolt and you only have maybe 200mor #'s on his rcsb and you are going to be going slower I would say you would be fine. Im looking to get into the 12's and I am keeping the stock axles but am upgrading to a t/a diff cover that pre-loads the bearing caps to make it a little stronger.

I have a TA cover, detroit trutrac, and caltracs. I am using 285 50 20 Hankooks. It hooks fairly well. Will I have a drive shaft/ u joint issue? Don't know what it runs, but I was told it should be in the 13's and IF I got a good launch maybe break into the 12's. I will make it to the track some day and find out the truth.
