Rear cover
When you did a gear change, did you replace the rear cover with a TA or other cover? Or did you reuse the stock cover?
The reason I ask: I ordered a TA from company "A". Was told ahead of time of back order. Called after 10 days, said it would be another 10 days. Called company "B". Said they had them in stock, ordered the cover and called and cancelled order with company "A". Three days later get cover and it is a 10 bolt 7.5, not 8.5 like I asked. Called them and they said the dont stock the 8.5 (yes I asked when I ordered). It is all good, they are picking up return shipping cost.
With all this, I am wondering if I really need to change it out.

I got a TA dif cover with the stud kit. Our weak housings have prblems with flexing under high torque loads. The ta cover is like a girdle for the housing makes it alot stronger and also preloads the main bearing caps so they dont deform or move under hard acceleration.

They were company "A". Tbyrne was company "B". No hard feelings towards either. **** happens.
Think I am going to order from Summit. They have there logo cover for 140 and a Moser for 160 with hardware. Probably wait until after holidays. UPS and others have plenty to do as it is.
