What kind of drop do you have out back? I used the edelbrocks on my 99 i did a DJM shackle and hanger kit in back. the ride was almost like stock. Now if you changed out your leaf springs to do the drop thats a different story....been their and done that.

to make a long story short i had the hotchkis kit on my 99 first. The hotchkits kit uses leaf spring replacement for the rear lower 4". Could not stand the ride. It was an extended cab too.

I put my stock leaf springs on and used a shackle and hanger kit (DJM) for the rear loweing. Then changed my front to DJM using lower control arms. What a difference in ride. I sacraficed a little handling for ride quality. But i will take ride qualtiy ANY day of the week.

Extended cab or reg cab? If you have the reg. cab its going to be bouncy no matter what. Extended cab will give you a much better ride due to the longer wheel base. My buddie has an 03 reg cab short bed with a 2/4 drop and its bouncy in the back, and he's running the DJM all the way arround. Hes also running the edelbrock shocks too.

I guess what im trying to say is that you can change to the soffest shock and still have a stiff/bouncy ride due to the lowering of the truck. My 99 extended cab did not ride smooth as silk, but it was MUCH better than my buddies 03 reg cab with the same lowering kit and shocks.
