the gears and shim kit came from me. when i ordered them i told ron i had a 8.6 rear with 3.73 and g80 and wanted to go to 4.10's he picked out everything and i just never used any of it. maby that tru trac is for 2xx and numericly lower? sounds like a ring gear spacer might fix it. but at the same time you would think ron would have sent him the right tru trac for that ratio?

Gears are a oem 4.10s from rons also

there is only one true trac type carrier for the 30 spline axles

Turns out the "oem" gears are thinner than my previous set of us standard gears.

I guess i need a ring gear spacer or a new set of gears.

I just put my new tru trac in with my worn 4.11s and it whines horribly now but after a month without my truck i really needed it back.

I would go with the right gears and not use the spacer.

What exactly is this? I have not heard of any thing like this. Do you mean the carrier bearing kit from the lowering kit?

I would like correct gears but i really dont have the money to throw at a 3rd set of gears, i might just end up with a ring gear spacer.

More than likely the kits are one in the same. I know mine is Beltech and that's what they call it .

i have all belltech stuff but i have not got the carrier bearing relocater, my angles are pretty good and i dont think i absolutly need one.

Any suggestions on whether i should just get new gears or a ring gear spacer?
