Another question, I am going to the local U PULL IT and see if they have anything worthwhile. It might be easier and cheaper to just swap the whole rear end. The question:which rear ends will fit besides the trucks. Will the suburbans and tahoes fit, what about the vans and envoys/trailblazers?

Tahoes will not fit, I don't know about the others though.

trailblazers/envoys are like tahoes i believe...no leafs, smaller bolt pattern also

Curiosity is killing me, I think I will pull the cover tommorow and see whats inside.LOL Got to get some gear oil first, I am just pulling the cover, cleaning it out and looking to see what damage, then putting it back together until monday when I have time to get to it. It takes 80w90 oil dosn't it?

for a cheap fix you can replace the spyder gears... or put a powertrax locker in there....
i would go eaton or trutrac though.... im leaning toward an eaton.... if i change mine.. hopefully the 9.5 g80 is a little stronger

didnt get a chance to pull the cover today. I noticed it pops more when making a sharp left turn, especially from a stop. How are these spider gears activated, being open diff does it have a pin that slides over to activate one side or the other, or is it something else that activates the spiders.
