Default Rear end swap

So I got a 2000 Chevy and my rear and like some is going to s*** and I want to try and put a 2500 rear end underneath my 1500 Silverado can it be done hopefully anybody to help me out and give me some insight

Not worth the hassle unless this truck is many some absolutely stupid horsepower. Easier to rebuild the 10 bolt with better parts than it is swapping axles, getting new axle shafts that aren't 8 lug and all that other crap.

Been done before several times. Several ways to skin a cat. This is probably one of the easiest ways to do it.
