Default Reasonable price good quality 3000K stall

Who has a converter that is reasonably priced read the lower the better. I've all but settled on a TSP 228R cam for a lq4 6.0 that's in my sonoma. The truck is not raced autocrossed or severely beaten on it's just flat driven normal and played with here and there on the back roads only. Texas speed recommends a 3K converter and I know the really expensive units have some great parts in them but they are more than what I need for how I am using my little truck.

We put all the good parts in the trans it's got the normal list of upgrades beast sungear shell and shift kit servos kolene clutch's and wide kevlar band and a stock gm converter till now.

I've never had a stall this large how can I expect it to drive when completed.

Your best bet would be to call Circle D and talk to Chris about your setup and your goals. He'll be able to make a good recommendation for you that you should be happy with. He certainly knows more about what is going into your converter than any phone sales guy.... and what the outcome will be, and how your truck will respond.

Like Roger said call Circle D Specialties. They have a 278mm single disk converter that will flash between 2800-3200. It may not be the best for all out performance but it is wonders over the stock one and it will drive well. IIRC it sells for $395.

Another vote for Circle D here. I used one of their converters recently in a TBSS unit I did over just using a stock converter. It was double the price of the stocker but it added some peace of mind to the build. Thicker converter hub, better internal bearing, added welds, and a better TCC sold me on the I6 converter for my customer. I did add a billet rotor to the build and a billet output shaft for some additional piece of mind. All in all always nice working with Chris and his crew on projects I get involved in. The converter also came with longer bolts and two different thickness washers if shimming was needed. That is what I call total customer satisfaction!!!!

Thanks Vince, appreciate the kudos... I agree, the 278mm is a great choice, and with all the durability upgrades we do they are very strong.

To the OP, looking forward to your call on Monday.

Chris
