ive rebuild 3 4l60 they are not the harddest to do the frt wheel drive gm trans are realy bad. there are some books on it how to do it realy easy to folow. i would never use balljoint grease in transmitions. any spec of dirt in there can cause a prob. buy some trans gel before you do it again. i wouldent attempt it without the step bu step books. the balljoint grease could of swelled a seal. good luck try to find the step by step book you will be good from there.

thats the bad part is we had a step by step book. lol but i put everything back together tonight with the bolts back in the right spot and then put it in every gear and it went with no hesitation and worked great. i drove it in the wooded area by the shop and it went well so i pulled it out on the street and about half a mile away it dropped out of third into second and stayed there so i whipped back around headed to the shop and it started kinda bogging down like maybe dropping from second to first over and over. and then just quit going. but im just going to either park it for sale or just save some more money back up and have someone do it. but my service 4wd light was flashing at me. idk why that could be??
