Default Received my Midwest Stall - Pics

Ok So I bought a used Midwest stall converter from a member on ls1. It was advertized as a 3200. I bought it at a good price and got it in the mail yesterday. Unboxed it and this thing it looks almost BRAND NEW and looks serious compared to what I was expecting. Im pleased to say the least. The sender had it boxed in the original box with the foam and all. Very snug fit with all its 41lbs.

Anyhow, I wanted to confirm EXACTLY what I got but I have found that Midwest is HELL to get ahold of. I called 2-3 different numbers this morning and they wouldnt work. And I have searched a number found on the bottom of the stall and it turns up nothing

REPRESENT!!!!!

Does anyone know what it is or can use the number 82005 for anything to help?

HAHA

Apparently there are like 3 different Midwest Converters. I called Midwest Performance converter and its not theirs.
Its from Midwest Converters at raceconverters.com , It was made 5 years ago. lol

But luckely it will work in my truck and it looks brand new. He did tell me that the orginal purchaser buys quite a few from them. Makes since that it looks like it has 500 miles or less on it.

My only real concern is that he mentioned that each stall is built for a specific app. SO...if this guy was making 400-500 horses then its not gonna do as good in my stock 6.0L Oh well. I got it pretty cheap. it'll do. Ill update after install.

That is a hybrid? converter. They used a smaller turbine (maybe 9.5") on a larger clutch plate and rear cover (10.5 or 11"?). If it was advertized by the seller as a 3200, I am betting it will be looser in your truck and wager to bet it will be sloppy on the street. It really all depends on teh stator that was used and how it was setup.
btw.. every converter should be built to application.

The Midwest guy said they used to make them like that but it was hard to open them back up multiple times to redo/restall them or anything so they stopped making them that way. He said they work great though. Course. lol

It will likely be looser in my truck and I was actually wanting around a 3600 so maybe who knows. If its too loose, Ill pull it and sell it and buy one for my App.

I only paid $225 shipped for it

When you say sloppy on the street you mean too loose and retarded to drive daily?

Yes. Loose, unresponsive at light-med throttle, takes a lot of throttle just to get light accleration, etc. If it is like that, be prepared for your around town MPG to drop.
