Default Recommendations for shop that lowers trucks? (Western NC area)

Called up a shop local to me and they want $1900-2000 said and done to lower my 05 ext cab 2wd 1500 4/6 belltech kit. Thats including all parts/labor/alignment. Too me personally that seems a bit high I dont mind spending the money but I also dont want to get taken advantage of either and if I could save some money along the way, that would also be great. The shop does a lot of lifted trucks and does suspension for SxS's and speaking with them on the phone they said they have done some lowered trucks as well. What would you guys do? I have never lowered a truck or really talked with anyone who has had a lowered truck that paid a shop to do it. I would be all for doing it myself if I had the space and tools. I figured by the time I tried to do it and round all the tools up to do it correctly with the added headaches of having no lift available, I might as well pay a shop to do it...

Almost any decent shop in Mooresville - lots to choose from. Try PCM of NC.

That sounds about right for a shop to do it. Around $1000 for the parts, probably charge 8 hours for labor and $100 for alignment.

Not sure where you are since I am on my phone, but if you are not too far from Asheville check out Dark City Customs. I have not had any work done by them, but they turn out tons of custom reg cab GM trucks, most of them slammed. Facebook has a bunch of their project trucks posted.
